Governance and Management
The Joining Forces Coalition is governed and managed through three interrelated structures: the Steering Committee, the Technical Working Group, and the Coalition Coordinator.
The Steering Committee of the Country Directors and nominated alternate senior staff of member organizations is the supreme governance body for the Coalition in Uganda.
The Technical Working Group of the Child Protection and Advocacy Leads of each of the member organizations is in charge of designing and implementation of the agreed work plans in Uganda.
The Coalition Coordinator is Secretary to both the Steering Committee and Technical Working Group. The Secretary is also responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Coalition under the supervision of the Coalition lead/host member organization.

Country Director, ChildFund Uganda
ChildFund is a child-focused international development organization working in 24 countries to connect children with people, resources and institutions they need to grow up safe, healthy, educated and skilled, wherever they are. In Uganda, ChildFund has operated since 1980 and works in 35 districts, with a continued goal to support a wide spectrum of development programs in Uganda.

Country Director, Warchild Alliance
The War Child Alliance is a network of War Child charities united by the belief that no child should be part of war. The Alliance aims to enhance the resilience of children and their communities through evidence-based interventions and advocacy. War Child has been working in Uganda since 2004 specifically in Refugee hosting districts through long-term and emergency projects.

National Director, World Vision
World Vision Uganda is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families and their communities to reach their full potential by tackling the root causes of poverty and injustices through development relief and advocacy. In Uganda, World Vision has provided long term development support and emergence response since 1986.

Country Director, SOS
SOS Children’s Villages is a global child- and youth-focused non-governmental organisation founded in 1949 and operating in over 137 countries, supporting children and young people without parental care or at risk of family separation. SOS was established in Uganda in 1991 and works to protect and strengthen families and ensure children grow up in safe, nurturing environments.

Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organization that advances children’s rights and equality for girls in more than 70 countries across Africa, Asia, and the Americas. Plan International’s purpose is to strive for a just world that advances children’s rights and equality of girls. Plan International has been working in Uganda since 1992.

Country Director, Terre de Hommes Netherlands (TdH NL)
Terre de Hommes Netherlands (TdH NL) is an international non-governmental organization committed to stopping child exploitation. Since 1968, we have protected children in Uganda from violence, harmful labour, trafficking and sexual exploitation. Terre des Hommes Netherlands is a member a network of nine organizations working for the rights of children and to promote equitable development.

Country Director, Save the Children International
Save the Children International is an independent international child rights organization with a vision of creating a world in which every child attains the right to survival, protection, development and participation. Save the Children’s mission is to inspire breakthroughs in the way the world treats children and to achieve immediate and lasting change in their lives. In Uganda, the organization has implemented programs since 1959.
